Lazy Knoll Farm LLC is a small family run farm located in the Westfield region of Pilot Mountain. The farm is a family run operation of which the land has been a part of the Payne family since 1893 (if not longer - that was as far as we could trace). Originally a tobacco farm, Lazy Knoll became our family's home in 2020 and we've since incorporated our passion for permaculture and the use of animals to benefit the land.

Our farm is diverse, having originally focused on specialty heirloom varieties of pumpkins, squash and gourds. We have since evolved into a full time cattle farm, with cows, sheep, geese, chickens, guineas & LGD's.

The farm also offers barnyard mix hyperpigmented chickens (various breeds fertilized by Ayam Cemani rooster) as well as Pure Ayam Cemani jungle fowl - however breeding is limited and by request only.

Beginning Spring 2026 we will have Olde English & NABSSAR registered Babydoll lambs available as well as a spotted babydoll breeding program. Along with the sheep in 2026 we will also begin our Sebastapol Geese breeding program specializing in white full, curl geese, and ganders.

Lastly, but most iconically, we offer AHCA & HHCA registered Scottish Highland cattle along with smaller framed Highland cross cattle.
