Cyrus Ridge Edna (SOLD)
Edna is our five year old heifer HHCA #B-001610. She has easily been the most special heifer on our farm. Edna is blind in one eye, suspected from a horn injury, but despite that disability she is one of our most friendly often called the sweetest highland on our farm coming up for scratches, pets, brushing and hugs. Family and friends have been able to love on her and she's by far our most photogenic gal.
However, she has quickly become low on the pecking order since we've developed a larger fold. She gets shunned during feeding and often eats by herself. Due to her vision impairment she also has difficulty seeing our high tensile fencing.
This was by the far the most difficult decision we've made on our farm thus far, however we intend to ensure we find the right home for her, we are not in a rush to rehome her.
Update: Cyrus Ridge Edna found her new home in Tennessee at High Steel Farms and is doing amazing with her new fold!
