All cattle that are born on Lazy Knoll Farm include the following:
-Full registration (as applicable) to their appropriate registry & price includes transfer of ownership paperwork.
-All calves will be weaned at 6 months of age and will receive halter training prior to transport to their new home.
-All calves will be wormed at the appropriate seasonal times - we deworm our cattle with pour on Cydectin brand dewormer in the spring and again in the fall.
-All calves will receive vet recommended vaccinations & include a health certificate prior to transport.
Lazy Knoll Farm Highland Calf Sale Process
When a calf becomes available for sale, we’ll announce it ahead of time. If you’re interested in bidding on that specific calf, please email Elizabeth Payne at lazyknollfarm@gmail.com to let us know you'd like to participate. This helps us create a list of active bidders prior to the start of the auction. You're welcome to submit your opening bid during this time, but it’s not required until the sale begins.
The live bidding will begin at 7:00 PM Eastern Time with updates sent out every 15 minutes. The sale will officially end at 8:00 PM, or once all but one bidder has dropped out. If bidding is still active at 8:00 PM, those remaining bidders will be moved into a joint email thread to communicate directly with me and with each other. (An active bidder is defined as anyone who places a new bid within 15 minutes of the current high bid.)
This auction format ensures buyers have advance notice of available calves and allows for a focused, one-hour bidding window.

AHCA Black Bull: Spring Hill's Fortunate Son (AHCA #68,508) (Available)
Spring Hill's Fortunate Son, or Son, as we call him, is one of our Black AHCA bulls who came to us from Spring Hill Farm in Mount Vernon, Missouri. Son was born December 7, 2023 out of Schon Boden's Flint #61,099 and Maple Hill True Dubh #54,465.
Spring Hill's Fortunate Son comes from Rioghail of Balmoral lines as well as several Championship bull lines including Knight of Fivestar Farm, Scott of Craycombe, Du Bois Lecoq, Buckwheat of Gurholt & Gusgurlach of Windrush, to name a few.

Lazy Knoll Mathan is a black AHCA bull calf out of our black cow Maple Hill True Dubh #54,465 and AHCA Cactus Hill Shawnee #66,281.
Mathan (pronounced MA-han the Scottish gaelic word for bear) was born 11/11/25. Mathan was born with impressive conformation - note his musculature, straight back, short snout, thick hair and muscular neck. This sweet boy is being retained for our breeding program and possibly for show.

Lazy Knoll Josephine is a black AHCA heifer calf out of our yellow cow RLE Morning Sun (Dawn) #55,507 and AHCA Valley View Kid Kane #64,663.
Lazy Knoll Josephine was born August 29, 2025 on Mr Lazy Knoll's birthday - which is where she got her name!
Lazy Knoll Josephine is the smallest calf we have had born on our farm - already as fluffy as can be. With this she will be priced at a higher price point than our standard heifer calves.

Lazy Knoll Randy was born August 21, 2025 on Mrs Lazy Knoll's fathers birthday - which is where he got his name!
Lazy Knoll Randy has spectacular markings with a very short fluffy face. Who wouldn't love this guy?!
He may be sold as a bull or steered upon request upon weaning (steer requests must be paid in full prior to steering).

Lazy Knoll Rory is a red AHCA Bull out of our most regal red cow Schon Boden's Leila #54,940 & our dun herd sire Cactus Hill Shawnee #66,281. His name comes from the Scottish name "Rory" or "Red King."
Lazy Knoll Rory was born August 1, 2025 to a very attentive and loving dam. He has impressive lineage between Rhioghail of Balmoral and Gusgurlach of Windrush lines as well as several other Champion bulls.

Lazy Knoll Holly was born June 25, 2025 and is already very independent and curious in nature. She has very light eyes we anticipate will likely be green like her dam.
Lazy Knoll Holly's lineage includes names such as 7R Yellow Sunset of historic Pimushe farms White Lightening as well as Kanaka Hill Maximillian, and Gusgurlach of Windrush 6015.

Mini High-Dex Black Bull: Lazy Knoll Shadow (AVAILABLE)
Lazy Knoll Shadow, is a black 50/50 Highland/Dexter steer born April 8, 2025 out of our three time registered chondro + dun Dexter cow Triple T Rosie #L04560TH-22HH and our previous AHCA herd sire Valley View Kid Kane #64,663.
We anticipate Lazy Knoll Shadow will be very small in stature as his dam Rosie is 36" at her back and Kid Kane is 41" at his back. We do not believe he is chondro +.
